CEO-10 Guitar

These guitars have been designed to satisfy the needs of a small, select group of the worlds most respected and most popular musicians. The John Mayer and Eric Clapton models are highest quality instruments for the demanding musician, true fans and collectors.
Johnny Cash fans have a choice of either a black D-35, just like the one he used to play, or the posthumous DX Johnny Cash for the fan on a limited budget.
Finally Martin regularly releases their CEO models in accordance with C. F. Martin IV or more recently the new CEO Thomas Ripsam. These are limited runs, using unusual woods, shapes or finishes.

You'd think, becoming CEO of C.F. Martin & Co. is special enough. But one of the especially special tasks of the Martin CEO is, to occasionally design extraordinary guitars – The CEO-series. Several years have passed since the intruduction of C.F. Martin IV's last CEO model. Now his successor, Thomas Ripsam, introduces his first model, the CEO-10. And he didn't hold back! Based on the 000-shape, the guitar looks like a member of the 28 family at first glance. A second glance, however, reveals an FSC-certified, European spruce top and back and sides, made of the wonderful Guatemalan Rosewood, which is usually used for the Authentic series as a replacement of the mythical Brazilian rosewood.
Furthermore the guitar features a slightly assymetrical High-Performance Taper neck with fretboard inlays in the style of the Foden special series, which were built for students of guitar teacher William Foden between 1911 and 1917.
To make the model stand out even more it is finished in wonderful 1933 Ambertone, accentuated by a Pickguard of Guatmalan rosewood.
With this guitar, Thomas Ripsam made it abundantly clear that under his lead, quality will stay priority number one for Martin! This model is limited to 100 pieces, each of which features a label that is numbered and signed by Thomas Ripsam.
